Services

I offer individual psychotherapy for adults in Oregon, Tennessee, and Illinois via telehealth. My work is depth-oriented, relational, and tailored to each person. I support people who are interested not only in symptom relief, but in understanding the deeper emotional patterns, relationships, and life experiences that shape how they move through the world. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, reflect, and begin relating to yourself with more clarity and compassion.

Below are some of the main areas I work with. You’re welcome to reach out if you have questions about whether therapy might be a good fit.

Grief and Loss

Grief can arise after the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or other significant life changes that alter your inner world. It often moves in waves and can feel disorienting or isolating. In our work, we make space for what has been lost while also supporting your capacity to stay connected to yourself and your life in the present.

Perinatal Mental Health

Pregnancy and the postpartum period can bring profound emotional, identity, and relational shifts. Alongside moments of connection and love, many people experience anxiety, sadness, overwhelm, or a sense of not feeling like themselves. Therapy offers a space to hold the complexity of this transition without judgment.

Life Transitions

Transitions—whether chosen or unexpected—can bring uncertainty, grief, and questions about identity and direction. This may include changes in work, relationships, location, health, or internal shifts in how you understand yourself. Therapy can support you in making meaning of these changes and moving through them with more steadiness.

Anxiety, Depression, and Overwhelm

You may find yourself caught in cycles of worry, self-criticism, numbness, or sadness that feel difficult to shift through effort alone. Together, we work to understand the underlying emotional and relational patterns that contribute to these experiences, while also focusing on regulation tools and symptom relief.

Chronic Illness & Medical Stress

Illness or changes in health can impact identity, relationships, and a sense of control. I work with people navigating chronic or acute illness, disability, medical trauma, and caregivers experiencing burnout or anticipatory grief.

End of Life & Existential Concerns

I support people facing mortality directly or indirectly, including those living with serious illness or supporting loved ones at the end of life. This work often involves emotional, relational, and existential questions about meaning, connection, and what matters most.

Psychedelic Integration

Psychedelic experiences can open powerful psychological and emotional material that may be difficult to integrate alone. I offer grounded, nonjudgmental support for making meaning of these experiences through reflection, somatic awareness, and integration into daily life.

If you’re navigating one of these experiences and wondering whether therapy might support you, you’re welcome to reach out.  You can contact me by phone at 872-205-6099 or email at sara@oceanmindpsychotherapy.com. I typically respond within 1–2 business days.
